Travel Book of Your Trip to Bulgaria

Bulgaria runs on two seasons, and books about it come out in two kinds. The summer one is Sunny Beach, Albena, old Nessebar with its wooden houses over the water and long dinners that ended well past midnight. The winter one is Bansko, lifts, snow on pines and red cheeks after a run.

People mostly come here as families, which is why a book about Bulgaria almost always turns out to be a book about the children. In a few years it is not the views that will matter but how someone first walked into the water.
