Take it when there is one frame the whole book exists for: a portrait of a child, a shot from the wedding, a view from a trip. Fabric, velour and leatherette hide the image under a plain material, while here it stays in plain sight. The second reason is budget, since the difference against the premium covers is more than double and the block inside is identical.

What is inside

The block is printed in a photo lab on matte Fujicolor Crystal Archive at 265 gsm, rated to last over a hundred years. Pages are bonded without a gutter, so a spread opens to a full 180 degrees and a panorama is not broken by a fold down the middle. Six to fifty pages, formats from 20×20 to 30×30 cm.

Choosing the cover frame

A cover works best with one large face or one clear subject, because it is read from a distance. Small group shots do not carry on a board. Part of the image also wraps around the edge, so keep anything important away from the very border, and send the original file rather than a messenger copy.

Is this book worse than the premium ones

Only in the cover. Paper, printing, bonding, the flat 180° spread and the hand assembly on 2 mm board are the same across all four. The single difference is what the board is wrapped in.

Can it be engraved

No, engraving goes on velour only. On a printed cover the text can simply be set into the artwork itself.

How long does it take

Ten to fourteen working days after the layout is approved, plus delivery. A photo book is not a fast product, so order about a month before the date.
